About the club
MBHC has 4 ladies teams with 4 teams competing in the MIdlands Women’s Hockey leagues. Our Ladies 1st team compete in the Midlands Premier Division. The ladies teams are generally a mix of experienced adults and less experienced but promising juniors aged 13 plus.
The club has a thriving junior section with players participating in appropriate age level competitions across the country.
MBHC also has a Veterans team for those aged 35 plus. The Veterans tour once a year and play the occasional game against other touring Vets teams.
The club membership is very age diverse with players aged from 5 to 60 competing on a regular basis.
Purpose and Aims of MBHC
The purpose of MBHC is to provide an opportunity for women of all ages to participate in hockey. The club constitution states that the Aims and Objectives of the club are:
- The enjoyment of Hockey by all involved
- To be open to ALL irrespective of age, colour, ethnicity, social background, other social differentiating factor or ability
- To offer coaching and training throughout the season
- To provide weekly matches and other competitive opportunities
- To provide the opportunity to achieve at all levels
- To promote the Club within the local community
- To provide facilities
- To provide a duty of care to all members of the club
- To ensure that all present and future members receive fair and equal treatment
- To provide a good social base
